When an accident isn’t your fault, the at-fault driver’s insurer is responsible for the costs it caused. We arrange your repairs, recovery and – where you’re eligible – a replacement vehicle, then bill the at-fault insurer directly. That’s how our service is free of charge to you, with no excess to pay and your no-claims bonus unaffected, where you’re not at fault and your claim meets our criteria.

Who pays for what?
The law expects the person who caused an accident – in practice, their insurer – to put you back in the position you were in before it. That usually covers:
- Repairs to your vehicle, or its pre-accident value if it’s written off
- A comparable replacement vehicle while yours is off the road, where you’re eligible
- Recovery and storage of your vehicle

We arrange those services for you and charge the at-fault driver’s insurer directly, including for our own administration of the claim. We don’t send you a bill, and we don’t claim on your own policy – so there’s no excess to pay and your no-claims bonus is unaffected.
